Porto Last Day

Last night we had dinner at the Burmster estate. A lovely location at the top of a hill looking down on the river. During dinner we had a group of two guitarists and a singer give us a Fado experience. Traditional Portugese music. Dinner was ok but not as good as our chef back on board. We get our disembarkation time - 6.30 am on Monday morning!

Sunday: We have a excursion to a fishing village this morning where you can grill and eat your sardines. Ann, Kaye and I decide to give it a miss and instead visit the city and go to the famous book shop (aka Harry Potter library) It is a beautiful shop. We wander around the town and it is getting busy. Weather is clear and sunny, but temp is under 20 but pleasant.

By mid afternoon it is 27 degrees. Our last tour is to a filagre factory. It is fascinating to watch how they do the very intricate work. Our drive back is a nightmare with bumper to bumper traffic. A drive that shoul take 20 mins takes an hour. Sunday is a very busy day on the river. We have packed our luggage  and now await our final dinner before an early night.
